Productive?
Well, after whiling the morning away in bed...alone, dammit, I rolled out with the intent to mow the lawn before getting a shower and moving on to other chores. Thankfullly I was saved from this horrendous fate when Christine called with an invite to dim sum. Of course the snobby Miss Chels would not deign to eat ornamental food for late lunch. :-P
So had a good catch-up with Christine over wonderful food. Of course it took forever to get my potstickers! And there were no sechzuan greebs until after I was full! So after that we made the obligatory stop at the pet shop to see the puppies and the birds. There was one little humpy puppy that thought he could shag his litter mates with impunity. It was pretty funny. The birds were cool today. I got to hold one of the conyers that is owned by one of the employees. It was a wonderful little bird, and he just took to me. His name is Vader. Is that funny or what. He almost went to sleep while I was scritching his neck feathers. Wish I could have taken him home. Birds seem to get along with me and like me. If I were to get a pet, I would probably get a bird. Bernard only talked to me a little today, and the others were not really talkative either. The one up front wanted to climb onto me as well, but I was not sure that he was supposed to. He was a young Quaker, and a nice bird. Friendly to me, at least. I will have to think about it. My mom's bird, Molly, really liked me too. I should have taken her from mom's before she gave her away. Would have if it had not been so hectic with the divorce and all. Will have to ask how she is doing with her new owners...
Came home after doing some shopping for things to clean the house. Also looked at sewing machines, but have still not decided on what I want or how much I want to spend. We shall have to do a little more research and diggin into reliability and user interface functionality before making a decision.
I mowed the lawn. It needed it. The new blade did such a nice job on it. I need to rack all the grass up though. I don't want to rake the grass. :-(
Then I cleaned the bathrooms and then vacuumed upstairs and down, including the stairs.
Then I reviewed the Final Divorce Decree and sent it off to the Ex for review.
So it was a semi-productive day. Which is not bad since I am not feeling that well. Have a scratchy throat after the party last night at Mark's. It was nice to meet prosewitch and unseelie_fae. The bellah-dancin was verah nice. Wonderful hand motions...and other things. ;-
