I've been offered a job for a position I don't really want to do, a wage that will barely cut it, and a commute that will be terrifying no matter how I look at it. (I'll either end up driving downtown--an area I don't know very well--in a car I can only kind of control or end up on a train and I'm terrified of trains.) The great thing is the job offer came via a form letter email so I don't even have the option to ask question about the job such as how many hours I'll be getting, what the job actually entails, etc. All I was sent was instructions to fax my info to the company so they can process me and I'll be starting on the 20th. When on the 20th? Who knows! I understand a lot of companies are moving to computer stuffs because it's easier to sort out the riff raff, but fuck, a form letter for a job offer? This company isn't that big. That lack of personalization is a little more than disheartening.
I know we need the money but I don't know if it's worth what little sanity I have left for what'll probably amount to maybe an extra $500/month. I just don't know what to do. This is bullshit.
