So today (well, technically yesterday) was my dad's birthday. I'm not exactly over-flowing with liquid capital at the moment, so I ended up having to cash in a bunch of spare change from all my Jack in the Box forays, and managed to buy him a CD. Other than that, it was a nice day. We (my brothers, my mom, and I) gave him his presents when everyone got home from work, and then we went out to dinner at this Thai place called 'Phuket' (pronounced Poo-ket) down on 2nd Street. All in all, a nice outing, other than Tim enjoying himself mightily on the way home by yanking out my leg hair (despite the fact that we are 25 and 27 respectively).
I then unwound by killing other people for a couple of hours in BF1942. There's nothing quite as satisfying as unloading on some poor infantryman with a Chi-ha and watching him go flying into the air and then collapse to the ground, dead as a post. All I have to say is: the Allies are damned lucky I wasn't behind the wheel of a tank during WWII. I'd have won that thing personally.
In other news, submitted my resume for a job at a medical insurance place today and got a response letting me know they had received it, so hopefully I'll hear something back from them soon.
