movie-tastic

Sometimes I look at the movie schedule for TCM and it's all I can do to keep myself from skipping class and staying home to watch TV all day. More and more, though, I am discovering that several old movies are available to watch online. More than I would expect. This new development is completely awesome and means that if I forget to record something on a shaky old VHS tape I can always try online and see if it's there. Sometimes it's the whole thing (often with a couple of pauses for ads, but as much as I hate that it's not a deal-breaker as long as they're not editing stuff out of the movie too), and sometimes it's available in parts. For example, today they're doing a Charlie Chaplin marathon because it's his birthday. I love Modern Times (which is on now) but I've seen it a million times. After this is The Great Dictator, which I've never managed to catch. A little Googling has revealed that I can watch the whole thing online whenever I like, as well as several other Chaplin films.

Hello Internet. I love you. :)
