Tolkien 2005
Since discovering LOTR merchandise on ebay I've been getting packages from all over the world (England, Singapore, New Zealand, etc.). I've always loved getting mail so this has been a real treat. Today there were two envelopes from England. One contained the TTT Frodo birthday card and bookmark that I bought. They are so lovely! I'm not ever going to use them; instead I'm going to put them up on my bookshelf next to the TTT Frodo card that Suz sent me from England (bless her heart).
I assumed the second envelope contained something else I had bought on ebay. Wrong! But it was even better -- it was confirmation from the Tolkien Society that they received my payment from Tolkien 2005 (to be held in Birmingham, England). This will be first trip to Europe and only my second time out of the country (I went to Japan for two weeks courtesy of the US Air Force). I have wanted to go to Great Britain since I was child. I think is so cool that my going is due to my enduring love of Middle-earth. :)
