Abunaicon 2007
Went to my very first anime-expo!
Main reason (read: only reason) I went there were the shops! In Holland there are anime-related shops but there aren't alot and they're spread around the country. If I buy stuff it's usually from playasia, but the delivery costs makes even keychains 10+ dollars :/ So this was the perfect opportunity for me. The shopping area was pretty big and when I entered I truely got stars in my eyes *o* Posters, action figures, mangas everywhere! There were tables full of keychains for less than €2,- (owned x_x) and I really had to control myself to not buy everything =D. At first I thought I would only bring €40 to the expo but ended up taking another 130 out of a nearby ATM. I supose stuff was still overpriced there (it usually is at expos) and considering the tickets were €20 each (I payed for my bro too) I don't think buying from there was cheaper than from internet >.>;

Besides the shops I wasn't really interested in the other stuff that was going on. At least thats what I thought before going. There were the usual anime-expo activities like Karaoke, Dance-dance revolution and aloooot of Cosplay. I'm not really a fan of cosplay, especially EU and NA cosplay. I always picture fat chicks wearing not enough clothes or geeky looking guys acting like bad-asses, but I was suprised by the great cosplay that was done. Everyone came in cosplay that fitted their posture and their features. Even the biggest cosplay hater can't deny that stuff like this looks freaking awesome.
