Naruto Outing
today me[deidara], sarah[neji], gabe[rock lee], and sam[tenten], and laura[as herself] went out on another anime adventure!
today, we ventured out the mall, mount auburn cemetery, and tokyo kid (cool anime store) in harvard square.
ok. the mall. we go there because we are hungry. and desire food. so we hit the food court. neji, tenten, and laura opt for the BK lounge, whereas deidara and lee desired umi chicken. as me and lee walk back towards the others, we decide it'd be funny to be obnoxious and run back to them screaming 'neji-kun!!' so we did, and most of the food court turned and looked at us (i assume, i didn't really look) as we're eating we notice many people looking at us, including custodians and security guards. lee and i are rather freaked out by the security guards. because of this, we decide to leave right after eating as opposed to getting our photo taken with santa as we had first planned on.
at the cemetery, our first stop is by the sphinx. we look around a bit, then decide to walk to the little chapel nearby to see if it's open. it's not, so we peek in through the windows. can't see much, but there is a random vacuum cleaner hanging out right inside. as neji goes down the steps, and the snaps on his man-skirt fail him! (it's not really a skirt...it's weird random piece fabric over his pants. dunno, thats how the writer designed him) we all start cracking up, and i have to help neji fix his man-skirt. we walk around a bit, and get engaged it various fights (basically, chucking leaves at each other and lunging at neji) due to all the action, neji's hair gets a bit off kilter (it's a wig) he needs to go back to the car to fix his hair. another small leaf battle erupts, then we proceed to our next spot. the tower.
the tower was busy. there were people there. we passed a few on the way up. and there was a group at the top. i'm pretty sure we scared them off. the left shortly after we arrived. we hung out on the top for a while, then stopped at the little balcony thing halfway. random fights erupted.
we then go to the cool tree. lots of bizarre things happened here. so bizarre i can't properly explain them. we head back to the car, but lee and tenten seem to be falling behind, so we plot to leave them there. we drive off and they chase after us a bit. we double back to get them, but decide it'd be funny to only let them think we're getting them. all the doors are locked. we slowly start moving, and lee seats himself on the hood of the car. we still go nonetheless. we eventually let them back in the car, but not before getting some funny pictures.
we then take the bus into harvard square. the driver seems extremely confused by our attire. neji tells him it's for a party. tenten tells him it was on a dare. upon arrival in the square we set out towards tokyo kid. deidara leads the way, and seems to have no issue jaywalking. some of the others seem less with it. at some point, tenten and laura get stuck on the opposite side of the street, having not run across at the proper time. we go in, and some amazing stuff happens. we got asked by a few people if they could take our picture, and we met a guy that we'd seen at anime boston last year. he starts talking to us, and asks if we were at the con. we say yeah, and he asks if we know who he was. we don't know, and he asks if we were at cosplay chess on sunday. we were. we still don't know. he then says "this is midgar" i know immediately. cloud. he was cloud at cosplay chess. we talk to him a bit more about our plans for next years convention. he says he wants to do cosplay chess again, but plans on being a different character. we too, plan on being in cosplay chess. hopefully we'll see him. "hey, remember us, you bumped into us one day at tokyo kid...?"
we end our day going back to neji's house and playing video games. it was a cool day.
