Did you know the optimum shower time recommended to conserve water is just 8 minutes? I don’t know about you, but I find it nearly impossible to clean myself that quickly. And it looks
like many would agree…
A recent survey conducted by AXE found that 18 - 24-year-olds in the U.S. take showers that last an average of more than 17 minutes.
While people’s shower times are not usually top of mind, the deodorant company says it is a big determinant of your personal environmental footprint. That’s why AXE Shower is launching “Showerpooling”.
No, it doesn’t encourage you to jump in the shower with a bunch of your orgy-loving friends. Rather, it’s a campaign to educate guys and girls on the importance of water conservation in the U.S. It will also promote tips on how everyone can save water by taking small actions in their everyday lives.
The Showerpooling campaign encourages everyone to make sustainable living routine, have fun while doing it and recruit their friends to join in on the action. AXE says its campaign includes tongue-in-cheek animated videos narrated by AXE ambassador and actress Nikki Reed (Twilight, Empire State); an online pledge to save water; and a campus tour through which AXE will distribute 7,000 water-efficient Delta® showerheads with H2Okinetic™ Technology.
