Nikki Reed's Favorite 'New Moon' Scenes? 'Anything Taylor Lautner Is In'

In addition to more screen time to spend with Edward Cullen and Bella Swan, "New Moon" is bringing two big, new developments with it to theaters on November 20: the Volturi and the Quileute wolf pack.

For Nikki Reed, who plays good vampire Rosalie Hale in the film, the wolf pack is her favorite new addition.

"They bring a very obvious warmth. To see people actually interacting and wrestling and touching each other and rolling around in the mud and being a bunch of boys? That was a nice addition," she said.

That warmth is literal as well as figurative in the Stephenie Meyer novels "The Twilight Saga" films are based on. The wolves exude heat even in their human states as a result of a very high body temperature, as opposed to the vampires, whose skin is described as rock hard and ice cold. The famous chapter from "Eclipse," the aptly titled "Fire and Ice," plays upon this idea to interesting results.

"The vampires are all very ... cold," Nikki said in regards to the personalities instead of skin temperatures. "It sounds super clich, but there was a lot of interaction, a lot of human interaction [in 'New Moon']. It was nice."

In addition to the human interaction, Nikki said the love triangle between Edward, Bella and Jacob is brought to the forefront in "New Moon." As a result, Taylor Lautner gets a lot more screen time than in "Twilight," and apparently pulls it off effectively. When asked which scene was her favorite from "New Moon," Nikki's response was, "Anything Taylor Lautner is in," which, for those familiar with the novels, aren't necessarily the scenes Rosalie is in.

"Seriously, the kid [Taylor] is he's not a kid, he's a young man but he's incredible. And I'm not saying that because he takes his shirt off in every scene," Nikki said with a laugh."Seriously, you forget that he's half-naked in every scene, because he is so incredible. He makes this film amazing."

Despite the addition of the wolves and Taylor's incredible addition to the ensemble, Nikki said, at its heart, people still love "The Twilight Saga" because of the relationship between vampire Edward and human Bella.

"People are fascinated by vampires, because it's the one thing we can't [attain]; it's unachievable," she said. "Also, the love these two characters have for each other is relatively unhealthy and unrealistic as well. People are fascinated with situations like that."
