New Computer
So I got my new computer yesterday. I spent last night making sure my old computer was organized and ready to transfer files, and backed up my writing and pictures. This morning I hooked up the new computer, and it works pretty good (although I've spent quite a bit of time downloading drivers for my programs that are not Vista compatible). Then I hooked up my old computer to the old monitor to ready it to transfer my stuff from it to my new computer.
And that is when my old computer realized what was going on and got pissed.
I turned it on and got the dreaded Blue Screen. After several minutes, the screen changed to that of my old background pic. That's it. No icons, no toolbar... ctrl+alt+delete won't work. I can use the mouse to left-click, but the options do nothing to help. My old computer is mocking me. It knows that it contains all my stuff and won't let me have it.

I'm going to have to get the tech guy at work to come out and disconnect the hard drive, attach it to my new computer, and transfer all the files that way.
