So today I decided to make some pasta with a fig and gorgonzola creme sauce. I couldn't find a recipe, so I sort of through things together as I went. Not too bad... might be better with whole milk or cream rather than 1% milk. And walnuts sprinkled on top, although the pine nuts were rather tasty ( Read more... )

My mom met her fiancee on eharmony. They are getting married next month. And my dad met his wife through one of those online dating services.

I tried eharmony.... or at least to the point where it shows you who you match with. The first time... zero matches. The second time... six matches, although how they figure Arizona and Nevada are within a 60 mile radius, I haven't a clue.
I think I just need to find a singles group or something.

You could give eharmony another try *or* try a different one. Or heck find a safe non-meatmarket place where people can meet. Don't they have things like that up there? I'd *love* to go for hikes with you, I'd even leave my camera behind sometimes. Hehe. I'd also love to try your cooking, of course I'm both on a diet and married so if you're looking for that kind of thing....

I thought of you and your camera while I was on that hike... I want to go back actually. That first waterfall - the really beautiful one - was only a 2 mile hike (one mile in, one mile out). The water just shot out of this channel in the rock wall and into a pool. It reminded me of a sylvan glade with high rock walls, ferns, trees, and moss... Later, while I was at one of the other falls, I spoke to this couple. They told me that if you follow that stream further up, it gushes out from beneath a tree. Sounds awesome!
