So last night my legs ached as they tend to do periodically... deep throbbing muscle aches that feel as though even your bones hurt. The only thing to do when it starts up is curl up under a heated blanket as the heat eases it some. What causes this? I don't rightly know. But it got me thinking...
Every time I see the doctor for something, it's usually concerning just one problem. And I see different doctors for different problems.... Primary Doctor, Dermatologist, Gynocologist, Cardiologist... And often they can only guess at the cause. Muscle pain. Joint pain. Chest pain/inflamation. Mysterious skin rashes. Dysmenorrhea. Sleep Disorder. Fatigue. Circulatory problems. Cold intolerance. Bowel Problems.
I realized that I have never gone to one doctor with all the problems, so no one has ever taken into account that all these things might be related...
And what diseases have all of these symptoms?
Fibromyalgia and Lupus.
Now, that is not to say that each of these problems might not be its own thing, but...
*sigh*
My doc is gonna think I'm a hyperchondriac. I think I am gonna wait a few months before talking with him. And talk to my mom first.
Then there is the fact that if I do press this, and it does turn out to be Fibromylagia or Lupus, then my insurance company will be aware of it, and when I move on to another job and need new insurance, it will be viewed as a preexisting condition and anything related might not be covered, if I am covered at all.
I might be better off remaining in the dark.
