I have to admit I feel a little bad that I'm already excited about next school year before I even shoo this year's kids out the door. So lets take a moment to remember this year with the good and the bad:
The Bad-
*moving classrooms
*benchmarks
*standardize testing
*ridiculous, ridiculous people
The Good-
*using my special ed cert.
*collaborative ed. in it's truest form
*new team member
*overcoming a huge obstacle
*all of my kiddos doing Rock Star Awesome on the CRCT (no lie, it was awesome)
*making my way in the world
So there ya have it, all wrapped in a nutshell. I pumped about next year b/c I have a kick ass room placement and I am probably going to get the opportunity to have a resource cluster again. I'm also hoping I get the chance to do collab. with regular ed teachers as well. I have a reputation that precedes me, in the most positive way. I think next year is going to be so fantastic, that I can't help but already be thinking about how I'm going to make that happen.
However, summer is almost upon us, and I clearly intend on spending every available moment by the pool. I may be cutting laminate by the pool, but hey, I will be there.
Summer is already incredibly busy, my planner is now my new best friend. Baby niece may be induced on Friday and I can't wait to meet her. We have some showers and two weddings. I have a handful of professional development classes I'm taking and of course, setting up my new classroom. But believe me, I am SO ready for the break. You just can't even imagine!
