Aveline dedication at Nemesis this week

Feb 07, 2007 00:03

Cross posted from ms_kismet (as requested - although she's got it as a locked post currently...)

merry_thoughts and ms_kismet (my wonderful friends and bosses from Nemesis) consulted with kitling and myself, to see if they could do their bit to help everyone celebrate Aveline's life.

So this weeks Nemesis, which has a Mad Hatter theme, is being dedicated to her memory. All profits from the night will be given to the fund which has been setup to pay for her funeral (and if by chance there is money left over, this will be given to a Hep-C charity). There will also be a donation box at the door for those who want to give something extra to the fund as well.

Details:
When? Friday 9th Feb - 10pm onwards
Where? Colonial Hotel/Brown Alley - Cnr Lonsdale & King Sts Melbourne. Entry via Brown Alley (just off Lonsdale St near the corner).
What? 2 rooms of music - MAIN ROOM: lots of fun mad music. ROOM 2: Goth and electro house party.
Cost? $10 / $8 with a flyer - which can be found on the Nemesis MySpace page - or ask me and I'll email you one :)

And as ms_kismet says:
"We don't care if you do or don't remember Aveline. Come out and have a ball anyway and know that your entry cost will be helping people in your community pay for a funeral (and potentially also hep-c research) and your presence will be supporting your friends and others in our community.

Please feel free to repost these details, email or tell everyone about them. We want to give everyone a chance to say thank you and good bye and to celebrate the life of a truly remarkable woman."
