So a quasi-real update

About a month ago I pitched $40 into a pot into the Engineering department's "Biggest Loser's" pot. This is based off of some cable tv show on weight loss. Bobda also pitched in. (Or to be more accurate since the pitch time was closer to my payday since he's a subcontractor, I paid for both of us. Hey, we live under the same roof and sleep in the same bed, we take turns paying for stuff.) The competition is based off of percentage mass lost.

After the 4th week I had lost 6 pounds and was right smack dab in the middle of the running. The pot is somewhere between $800 and $900. I heard today that the couple guys in the for-running are having trouble maintaining the massive loss they started. It ends May 27th.

It was kind of harsh, seeing the first update at the second week and seeing someone had already lost 4% of their body mass, but hearing they're having problems now.. it makes me grin.

What am I doing? I stopped eating the cafeteria food every day, starting eating greens, and if I do have a temptation for naughty stuff, I limit myself to small portions. I find that the small portions quell the craving and I can go back to the better diet. I'm also doing a small amount of exercising, and seeing an almost immediate benefit.

Bobda's thighs look crazy huge now.. :D
