So the idea of living in a place with central heating is still somewhat oddball to me. I grew up in a trailer where the oven was set to the lowest temperature and left open to heat the kitchen. I lived for a few years in a nicer trailer with central heating, but didn't consider it "home" by a long shot.
I have gotten used to central heating in apartments because it's easier to get ahold of landlords as most of them live in the complex somewhere, and there is a decent turnover in apartments with people moving in and out.
Today the fan on the heater was fixed and tonight we slapped a new air filter on it. It's amazing to actually feel warm air circulating around the room and not have to be clustered under a blanket.
