(no subject)

I'm currently working from our Brighton office. Yesterday I worked from home as we had six inches of snow and the effort required to get anywhere would not have produced enough of a result to make it worthwile.

Today I had to walk 30mins to the nearest bus stop that is normally in use on days like today. When there, we found out the buses were terminating further down, so I walked another half hour to get there, only to have a shitty bus driver pretend he wasn't leaving and then refuse to let us on when we caught up with him at the next stop (yes, the buses are that slow!)

In the end I walked about an hour and a half to get here. The walk was lovely but my back is now starting to ache from all the care you have to show when you're walking on ice. Well, most of us show care: I was overtaken by joggers on a couple of occasions.

And it could have been worse. My boss is on a stationary train that hasn't moved for over an hour. It's broken down and there was reference to something catching fire. Poor sod. He'll just pull into the London station then need to turn around and go back home.

Ooh look, lunchtime. Off for some soup, I think.
