Damn it feels good to be a gangsta!

So yeah my birthday was Saturday (happy birthday to me etc etc...) and I couldn't imagine someone who I would have rather seen than RJ...and he came by and brought me flowers! He's such a sweet kid and I wish the best for him! Anyway, I invited him to stay since my family was bringing a 'pot luck' to my new apartment, so he did and we all watched movies and ate until we wanted to puke...AJ came back in just as the party was dying down, we were watching 'Shrek' because Tristen loves it...Anyway, Tristen jumped up, ran over to AJ and gave him a hug..it was so sweet! They've become such good buddies and AJ is so great to tristen. I told them I bought their Jell-o and they hurried into the kitchen to start making it.

Anyway, after my family left and RJ, AJ, Tristen and I were just sitting around talking, I came to realize that I've made some of the best friends of my entire life in that competition...people thought it was all bullshit how everyone swore the friends were the best, but it wasn't.

Paula came by later to wish me a happy birthday, and she brought me the funkiest top..I love Paula! Then AJ took her out, so it was just me and RJ. Tristen stood up and did his 'kid rap' for RJ, who applauded and gave him a nice ego boost. They turned Shrek back on and I set about cleaning up.

To make a long story short, RJ read Tristen his favorite book and we tucked him in...then he kind of smiled, pulled me into a warm hug, and went home.
That was it.

It left me with a lot to think about, to wish for in the coming year, and to miss.

Am I in love? No, I'm too smart for that. I think. I can safely say though, that RJ is my best friend, he's just one of those special people that you never quite let go of, even if you haven't seen them for ten years. Or twelve. Or forever.
