Dialogue! I love great, well-written dialogue. Characters that seem realistic and three-dimensional. Plots that are interesting and well-written and pull you in quickly and never let go.

Wow. Plot becoming too boring, characters suddenly losing what makes them people (erm, like an author will spend time in the beginning working on characters then suddenly do nothing expect acknowledge them)
