"Nah, just doing a little last minute check up work. I got a little shopping to do, apparently," he said, stratching his head with the end of his pen as he glanced down at the list. "We're running low on practically everything, and on everything to make everything."

"You guys are really popular," Nikki grinned, noticing how the shelves were more empty than they had been a few weeks ago.

George sighed dramatically, as if this whole idea of success was such a pain. "What can I say? We can't help that people love us to much."

"Oh, poor George," she said, sighing to match his.

"I can't even imagine how terrible that much be."

She had to hold back a giggle. It was nice just to feel this comfortable around a guy and to have so much fun.

For a moment, George just looked back at her, desperately trying not to laugh before he finally cracked.

"Good idea!" George declared firmly. "You've got the pretty part covered, and...I need to do something heroic...or something," he said, holding back a smile at his own silliness.

"You could...carry me out when we leave!" she laughed, tapping her finger to her chin in thought.

"Or I can run out and look for something dangerous to do. Then you can come save me."

He wrinkled his nose at the second suggestion. "But then that'd require more time and effort. Nah, I think we'll just go with the first one. Off we go!" As he spoke, George stepped out from behind the counter and promptly sweeped Nikki off her feet (quite literally).

"Hey Fred! I'm leaving! Don't forget to lock the door!" he called out as he made his way through the front door.

"WHAT?! No way, this is the second time this week you leave me to close off by myself!! Not fair, mate!" Fred complained from somewhere in the back room.

Nikki squeeled when he picked her up and wrapped her arms around his neck. This was definatly fun.

"Bye Fred!" she called back, excited for the rest of the evening.
