Have I ever been in love before? I don't think so. Love never felt this way. He inspires me to be the best me every single day. I got a surprise package from him yesterday and I couldn't have been more happy or shocked! Inside was a beautiful letter filled with beautiful words, a picture of the two of us, two mix cds (Nikki's Love Vol 1 & 2), and a picture of two Hindu deities that represent wholeness. This is the first time where love and God have been the principal things in the relationship. We focus on, and get joy from, what we can give to each other instead of what we can take. I love him. That statement resonates such truth within me.
He's coming home in four days!! We haven't seen each other since January 5th and that is not okay. Thank God for Skype and Google Video! Its not the same as having him here but it makes it bearable. Strangely enough, its the little things that I miss the most. I miss the way he looks in the morning, his everything-but-the-kitchen-sink spaghetti, holding his hand, the fact that he can never remember my dog's name, the way he can never stay on beat while dancing, his spontaneous freestyles, and a million other little things.
