Ok after some pretty begging, flowers and chocolates I have bowed to pressure and am therefore presenting you with a Meat Special Edition… Dun Dun Dun the deleted scene 43c
Now this will be looking at how Jack and how Ianto look at each other. So, combining the two different meta’s in one.

N/B: Regarding Jack's noisy entrance: Because the scene was cut, the original unedited soundtrack recorded on the day would have been used, so any footsteps picked up on the large set would be really loud and echo-y. In the final cut, stuff like that is edited out to just a clean soundtrack of dialogue and any footsteps, taps, clicks and background noises would be added on a separate soundtrack by Foley Artist. So if the scene made the cut, the footsteps would have been quieter ...
... and I have thusly, and quite pointlessly ramblingly, answered the "why didn't Ianto hear him coming?" question. Heh.
