Amazing days
Finally sitting back on the couch in Hollywood after an amazing couple of days. Comic Con was everything that I had hoped and even more.
I was talked into cosplaying Donna only 3 days before we left. We managed to get two pretty close outfits together and another 'homage' one. :D This last day after the Doctor Who panel, which was fabulous and I sat next to the very lovely wyntreaurora, there was a Doctor Who meetup for lots of photos etc. I was the only Donna and seemed to be a bit of a hit :D I may have bossed a few 'skinny boys in suits' around. BBC America were taking lots of photos and we were also placed where they were bringing Matt, Arthur and Karen past for signing. Needless to say the boys stopped to take pics of the whole group of us!
dizilla and her mom and I had a great time catching up, even if Lionsgate can't find their arse with both hands and a map in terms of organising anything with any semblance of ability. There was major pissing off of the fans. I did get my Dredd Badge signed by Olivia and Karl. Olivia is incredibly lovely and very short! I recorded most of the panels I attended and will see if I can get something up tomorrow in terms of a report or three.
Masters of the Web panel pics are here if you haven't seen them yet. I am now uploading the Dredd 35th Anniversary Panel to here. A few pics did get managed to be uploaded last night with the slow hotel connection.
After the con and on the way back to LA, my lovely host Pat and her friend Mike and I stopped off at a friend of Mike's for a 'comic-con wind down' after-party. The friend is Marv Wolfman! He and his wife Noel are lovely, lovely people and I met lots of other amazing people.
Okay, now it's time to sleep after the lack that happens during a con.
