these past few days i've been reading like crazy. but don't get me wrong... i like it. yesterday, i finished reading camus' a happy death. which i rather enjoyed. this is the second book i've read by camus and i like him. but perhaps i should read something else by him. the stranger and a happy death were kind of similar. also i'm reading a book about sleep. i figured since i don't get any i might as well be reading about it while i should be getting it. and today i've started umberto eco's foucault's pendulum. this was suggested by the old book keeper/cashier that works at books a million. he's an interesting person. i have lovely talks with him. he used to teach. but was more of an administrator. his name is john. he's traveled in spain. well, he knows a lot. i like listening. he also suggested the griffin and sabine trilogy to me. that seems like something cool to read. it's a story told through these original handmade postcards and letters sent between the characters. it's a fairly expensive trilogy so if anyone wants to get it for me you'd be really cool. but i'll probably end up borrowing it from john or my parents will end up getting it for me since i'm their baby and i'm spoiled.
well all of that reading is in addition to all the reading i have to do for school. particularly sociology. it's an interesting class. i like the area of study but the professor is extremely annoying. i seriously get a headache listening to him. the way he talks... ugh... it's like he has his teeth forever clenched together and... i don't even know how to describe the way his voice sounds. he repeats everything.. "i remember a long time ago, sinead o'conner broke the more of denouncing the pope in front of a large audience. she broke the more. yes, and her career went down the drain from there. it went down the drain. now, we don't hear about her these days. no, you don't hear about her. so that is an example of the possible consequences of breaking a more. not good. not good." if he didn't have stuff on the test from his lecture i think that i would not go. everything else is going well. and that is all for now.
