Life, the Universe, and Star Trek

Sup personal lj & flist! Haven't seen you in what...two months? School + life = fun. Really. /sarcasm

School
∇ Almost over, finally. The rest of this week, and next week is finals

∇ Trying to pull myself together enough to get a 'B' in theory, otherwise parents have decided to stop funding education. Blech.

∇ Unfortunately, we're studying modern music in theory. 90% of what our teacher is showing us as examples sounds like a two-year-old banging their hands on the keyboard. In other words: I can't stand to listen to it. If I have to listen to modern music, I'll take Menotti, thanks. Also I want that role in the video alksdflskhfs also this woman has a gorgeous voice and ACTS IT CORRECTLY which no one ever does >>

∇ Looks like I'm heading to Western for school next year. Colorado isn't giving me any money, and though Chapman's giving me a talent scholarship, it's just not enough, because lol they're 45 grand a year, and though 2 grand is a lot of money, I do not have 43,000 dollars ._. Though really, I've got nothing to complain about. The nice thing about Western and their music department is that I know what voice teacher I'll have, and I know I like her already. I've had enough run-ins with bad teachers to be wary. SO GOOD TIEMS |Db Western Washington University, here I come. And my parents might be letting me take the car, which is EVEN BETTER. Because yay mobility.

∇ I am so done with community college, it's not even funny. READY TO MOVE ON NOW KTHNX.

fangasm stuff
Ψ If you haven't seen Star Trek, you are severely missing out. Yes, there are certain things here and there where I go "....." but overall, IT'S AN AWESOME MOVIE. Go see it.

Ψ I have officially given up trying to figure out Tsubasa/xxxHolic. Seriously. IDK.

Ψ I really want to see "Up." It looks super cute.

Other Stuff
It's too darn hot XD Not that I should be complaining because we never get weather like this. But I really need to go down to my grandma's and jump in the lake. Either that or turn on the hose in the yard and stand under it. 'tis the season for my convertible!

♘ Met this guy named Andrew who was a salesman for AT&T, but by a stroke of luck became an opera singer, and is now singing with Lyric Opera Northwest. It is relevant to my interests, especially since he said he'd introduce me to his voice teachers that run it. Nice guy, obviously flaming gay. Funtimes.

♘ Last but not least, I'll be in Florida from August 3-10th, and maybe a bit longer. I got accepted into the V.O.I.C.Experience program down there, which means that I'm going to spend a week working with coaches and teachers, and then perform in Disney World on the last day. WOOHOO 8D

Yeah...I think that's it. Time to try and catch up with everything. ffff apathetic. Time for tacos.
