So how are things doing in my life? Eh...
i'll just do stuff in bullet points again
- I got a B- in my first Spanish essay (out of 3, the second due next Tuesday) due to the lack of introduction and closing (I was rushed, hey) It was better than several of my friends though. I don't think anyone got any A's.
- I am not seeing Death Cab tonight, which disappoints me but they will be back soon.
- social life at Laney is coming along smoothly, I am getting friendlier with people in Choir, Theory, and Guitar quite well and vice versa. Spanish on the other hand, is a bumpy ride. I have a feeling I'm not well liked by certain people... and I don't know what to do about it.
- Since March 26 I have abstained from eating meat for dietary reasons, moral reasons, and experimental reasons. The abstain ends Saturday.
- The Sharks advanced to the second round of the playoffs! I'm very happy about that.
- The Warriors were the best team in the league not to make the playoffs. I am bummed about that, what's even worse is that the Warriors lost BOTH games I attended. They had an excellent record at home, what were the odds I'd see two of their losses and no wins? Very low, especially since both opponents were sub-.500. However, the last game was after the Warriors were eliminated so they weren't expected to give their all.
- The A's have a decent record! I'm happy about that but my expectations are still no playoffs.
- Something's REALLY creeping me out. Since Spring Break ended, a friend of mine has not shown up to school, and her friend even before that. I've known both for a while so I don't think they'd just skip the remainder of the semester for any reason. But no one has been able to reach them. I hope they're okay... (a little weird that i just cram that in the middle of this blog)
- I'm getting really tired of reading Republican BS by people, especially people who aren't conservative telling me that McCain is this great guy and he'll be a moderate and we should support him over the divisive Clinton and inexperienced Obama. McCain has said that his economic and foreign policies will be the same as Bush's. I can't stand that he gets a free ride by the media and people I know.
- And speaking of, who the Hell cares what stupid things Obama and Clinton say or are associated with? Our economy has been near the worst in US history, we have a climate crisis, and an endless war in Iraq. Really people, straighten up your priorities. Whether Obama wears a lapel pin or whatever Hillary falsely claimed she was under sniper fire, or whether Obama is affliated with a guy who didn't even say anything bad anyway (Americans are such pussies... what did Wright say that wasn't true? America's actions are responsible for 9/11...) DOESN'T MATTER. I wish you people that think that, and the media, would get educated.
- And what's wrong with being elitist? Why do people think that our presidential candidates going to prime universities is a bad thing? We've tried having a "regular old guy" (Who was also an elitist. Good job "liberal" media) and how did that work out? We should want someone smarter than us. It makes perfect sense.
- Death Note is a great show, it's my favorite right now. Really livens up Saturday nights.
- Maybe the Death Note should be used not on criminals (or in addition to criminals) on people who think that lapel pins, guns, and religion matter more than the economy and Iraq? Truely that would be a Bright and Ideal world.
- I have not started an essay that was due yesterday, or an essay that is due Tuesday. Sigh... Laziness will kill me someday. That, or guns.
