Okay, I'm going to weigh in on this whole Fall Out Boy video controversy. While I respect that people don't like the video, I happen to love it, and I have nothing but the utmost respect for Fall Out Boy for bringing the situation in Uganda to people's attention.

I had never even heard of Invisible Children and was clueless as to what was going on there prior to Pete's involvement. His talking about it piqued my curiosity and made me want to know more about it. So, I went to their website to find out what it was all about. And seeing the video yesterday really just made me want to do something to help in any way I can. And really, isn't that the point of the entire video? If Fall Out Boy can spur one person to just go check out the Invsiible Children website and inspire them to get involved in the cause, then more power to them I say.

I think it's great that Pete and the band shot the video in Uganda and are using their fame to bring awareness to the horrific situation there. I am so proud of them for it, and it's made me love them even more. ♥

I encourage all of you to read an awesome post my friend cloudlessclimes wrote here to find out more. She is a wealth of information on the subject, and has posted many links for further reference. Read her post, and then watch the video again. Maybe some of you will change your minds.

I also encourage all of you to link to her post (it's public) in all of your LJs to spread the word.

Thank you.
