Evaluations of my current state

Good: Beautiful sunny weather, working from home, open windows, curtains blowing in the breeze, looking forward to dinner with D and my first softball game of the season tonight

Bad: Neighborly cigerette smoke blowing in the open windows, neighborly Yapper Type Dog loudly guarding his porch from wind, shrieking neighborly children playing on the porch across the street, one of which refuses to GIVE IT BACK!!! while the other one will not LET IT GO!!!

At least I'm getting laundry done!  Which will be key, because it turns out I haven't packed for New York yet and I leave tomorrow directly after work.  I should probably have clean clothes to put in the suitcase.

Anyway, looking forward to staying with alleynyc and seeing some NY people!  If anyone else is in the area and wants to get together, let me know.

Has anyone been listening to Pandora today?  The Wal-mart/Train Your Dragon ad is so, so, so bad.  That child sounds ridiculous and un-cute, and the entire ad comes off as not-funny and irritating.  I have taken to defiantly muting my volume whenever it comes on.  I'm all for earning my free music by listening to ads, but come on.  Put some thought into it!

The Insight repairman came this morning and spent two hours working on my lines, leading me to miss the Mentorship kickoff lunch today :(  At least he said I should see a big improvement.  He says too many lines are coming off the pole and it is a "rat's nest up there."  That's it, I'm moving *g*
