Techno JOY!
I have my laptop working again! And dtiernan spent most of yesterday installing Windows 7 for me, and now it's shiny and new and clean and I am so excited. I've been awake for an hour and a half, and I haven't been able to tear myself away, despite my insistently growling stomach.
I am doing things right this time - I am putting on files in an organized fashion. Especially photos. Everything is getting tagged properly, and I'm deleting the crappy ones. I got "Christmas 2009" from 147 down to 65 good ones. They are now neatly tagged with people's names and "christmas." And I get to spend ALL DAY doing this!

ETA: COOL!! Picasa has a face recognition function now!
