Ahahaha. With all the hoopla about the upcoming Babysitters Club prequel (well, the hoopla may be limited to a handful of BSC communities, but whatevs), I followed a series of links and landed on the
real reason Sabrina Bouvier seems to exist outside of time.
Also,
the Dairi Burger is positively cracktastic. I've lost several hours today already.
I meant to be, like, productive, or ... something. I did manage to start tying vines up to my balcony like I've been meaning to do since my family suggested it in July. My neighbor's foliage is invading my patio, you see - it gets closer to my house every night while I sleep, and any day now evil fog will roll in and my life will end in a horror movie. Anyway, I grow weary of ducking and sweeping vines away from my face as I try to walk to my car, so I am attempting to tie the bigger vines to my nearby balcony and see if I can encourage them to grow up there instead of in my face. I'll have a leafy little roof over my patio or something.
I also organized a file full of old report cards, certificates, awards, and recital programs that my mom brought me. That was an amusing trip down memory lane, complete with still simmering resentment at Mrs. Butler, who gave me the only B's of my elementary/junior/high school career. Didn't she see the rest of my grades? I am a joy to have in class!
So yeah, that's it for my accomplishments on this national holiday. I considered all of the following long-term projects:
- Work on remake of The Niece birthday films
- Work on reorg of digital photos
- Work on transferring VHS home movies to DVD
- Tidy up bedroom
- Wash dishes
- Clean out iTunes
- Finish researching and buying new glasses
- Organize spare room
- Post things for sale on Craigslist
Here's what I decided on:
- Watch several episodes of House
- Watch random YouTube clips from documentaries on child beauty pageants
- Read untold number of YA novel recaps on the Dairi Burger
- Eat graham crackers for dinner
::compares two lists::
::sighs::
Ooh wait, I did manage to program my Universal remote for my new projector and DVD player. Now that I have functioning batteries and everything. I guess that counts as labor, right?
