Good Idea, Bad Idea

After my shower last night I had a brilliant plan. I decided that since its spring break and I don’t have to be anywhere it would be fun to experiment with my hair. So last night I twisted a bunch of tiny twists in my hair and pined them to my head so that I would have really curly hair in the morning. I had to take Michael to school and I didn’t have time to take them all out so I decided to throw on a robe and add to the whole “stay at home mom’s don’t have to be up this early” effect and I realized that I looked a lot like my Grandma Pearce not to mention I got some funny looks from the assistant principle and I kinda stopped one kid in his tracks as he was crossing the street in front of my car. I think he was trying to decide if I knew what my hair actually looked like so I just flashed him a smile to let him know that I in fact knew how ridiculous I looked….but Oh if he could see me now! I finally let the twists down this afternoon and found to my amazement that when I brushed my hair it turned into a giant afro! I didn’t realize that my hair could deify gravity like this. I really wish I had a camera because I don’t think anyone will believe how big my hair is. It stands a foot in every direction around my head, no joke! Since I don’t have a picture I will give you video representation of how I feel…

I actually did my own little “Work It Out” dance when I saw my hair. I’m pretty sure I made my scalp bleed from all the brushing. Not to mention the scream of pain I let out when I realized I was home alone so no one would care…except for maybe the neighbors who must have thought someone was being slaughtered.

The “before hair” girls in the Garnier Fructis ads have nothing on me.
