Summary: Eli misbehaved for the last time and his mother sent him off to a private school. There he meets Kevin and his world is thrown upside down.
”No... Kevin... you just can't... say that... What about Kiseop? What about your relationship? Kevin don't screw that up because of me.”
Kevin stared at Eli's face. He had just told him he was his everything. This was so weird. He was so confused. He loved Kiseop. He adored his boyfriend. Kiseop had always been his everything. Why did Eli had to come and mess everything up? Why?
“I know! I know... and I won't leave him. I just won't. I love him... but... I'm so confused Eli.” Kevin stared helplessly at Eli's face. He wanted to kiss the living sense out of him, but he knew that was a pretty bad idea. Especially when he just said that he loved Kiseop.
“Then go to your boyfriend. You don't need me. It's just your mind playing tricks on you. Kiseop's waiting for you. Go tell him that you're his forever. That'll make him smile again. Just forget about me.”
“But... Eli...”
“I love you Kevin. I really do. But Kiseop... if you leave him I'll never be able to see him smile again.”
“But... I love you both...”
“I... I know... But Kiseop he's... If you really love me Kevin, don't leave him. He's too precious.”
Kevin nodded and got up from where he was. Eli followed him to the door. They said goodbye and before Kevin left he kissed Eli goodnight. It was a short kiss, but the act was so filled with feelings that it made Eli's heart flutter.
Leaving was the hardest part. But Kevin decided that he should go to Kiseop right away, sort all this shit out once and for all. He was still upset when he got to his boyfriends apartment. He knocked on the door before he just let himself in. He found his boyfriend in front of the TV, stuffing himself with vanilla ice cream and crying to one of those lame high school movies. Kiseop was such a sap.
“Kiseop-ah.”
Kevin just said. Kiseop's eyes turned to look at him for one long moment before he put his ice cream away and opening his arms for the smaller boy in front of him.
“I'm so sorry Kevin...” Kiseop whispered softly. “I'm really sorry.”
“Don't be. I understand.” Kevin mumbled as he cuddled up into Kiseop's embrace. He was so warm and soft. He buried his face against his neck and took in the intoxicating smell of Kiseop's shampoo. He smelled of pineapple and flowers.
“Where were you?”
“I talked with Eli...”
Kiseop's body tensed at those four words.
“And...?”
“Don't worry. Just don't. I would never leave you.”
“I know... but what about Eli?”
“He told me that if I really loved him, I would be with you.” Kevin whispered quietly against his boyfriends neck. Kiseop sighed.
“I really should go and have a chat with one of my hyung's tomorrow.”
When Eli showed up for his practice the day after he was such a mess. And to make everything even worse, Kiseop was there. He didn't know that Kiseop was into martial arts, but apparently. He quickly avoided speaking to him and left for the changing rooms. He doubted that Kiseop even saw him since he had his back against him when he got inside.
“Ah! Sungminnie~ Kiseoppie's here!”
“What?!<3!”
Eli knew that it was wrong to eavesdrop, but he just couldn't help it. Why was Kiseop there?
“Kiseoppie! Why don't you ever come here to practice anymore? Does Kevin really give you all the workout you need?”
“Actually he... wait... I didn't come here to discuss this, you perverted rabbit you.”
Eli couldn't believes his ears. Did Kiseop really speak impolitely towards his hyung? And Sungmin-hyung at that?! He was so shocked.
“Then why did you come here?”
“I need your help hyung. I can't work this out on my own.”
“So tell me the problem and I'll help you.” Sungmin said cheerfully. Eli couldn't believe that this hyung of his really had the ability to act this way.
“It's about me and Kevin.”
“Oh... love problems? I told you, sex solves anything.”
“Really now? Last time I checked it didn't work out that great for you...”
“I swear that guy live in celibate. Like seriously. He won't even look at me... if I take my shirt off he keep staring out the window.”
“Maybe he's not into guys, hyung.” Kiseop snickered.
“Shut up and tell me about your problem now before I kick you ass.”
“Kevin and I are in love with the same guy.”
“Kevin's in love with himself? Or are you in love with yourself, because that wouldn't surprise me with the amount of money you spend on your clothes and what not.”
“Sungmin-hyung... please... I'm serious.”
“Alright. Who's this guy?”
Eli concentrated really hard, his ear was pressed against the door, like he was afraid he would miss Kiseop's confession.
“Eli... what are you doing?”
Eli jumped and turned around only to face Hankyung. The chinese man gave him a weird look.
“I was just... uhm... you know...”
“Eavesdropping?”
“Uhm... yeah... just that.”
Hankyung gave him a soft smile as he opened the door and went out. Eli sighed and packed his stuff again. He didn't feel like having practice today. Maybe he could join Key in his dance class. But he knew that it would be boring for him since Key only had eyes for Jonghyun. But he had to do something! Maybe he could go to soccer practice and talk to Eunhyuk-hyung. But he didn't want to bother his hyung. Go hang out with Kevin was not even an option since he was still hurt from the day before. Oh how he wanted them. He sighed as he threw his bag over his shoulder and left again.
He ended up at Key's dance practice after all. But got bored at an instant. Key was totally into his dance and didn't even noticed that Eli was there. So eventually he left and walked around the school. He was still amazed over the size of the school. He could easily get lost. Then he walked downtown to that shop he and Kiseop went grocery shopping once. He didn't have any money so couldn't buy anything even though he was really hungry. He didn't even have lunch money. How could his mother abandon him like this? She just sent him to this school without any plan. Ah... this is so stupid. He could just have stayed at a friends place back in his hometown instead of going through with this shit. He suddenly wanted to go home so bad. He didn't really have any friends here. Well... Key was his friend. Eunhyuk was such a good hyung to him. He absolutely loved Kevin and Kiseop. He even started to get along with Soo Hyun. But now he felt very lonely. He didn't want this anymore. He took out his phone and tried to get hold on any of his friends. But it seemed like all of them were busy or ignored his calls. He sighed and walked around the town without no real goal. He just wanted to walk so he could clear his head.
“Where's Eli?”
Soo Hyun looked up from where he was trying to collect the balls after his soccer practice. Eunhyuk had asked him to do it since he had to go and talk to one of the students. Apparently someones father had died. So said boy looked up to meet Sungmin's furious gaze. Anyone would be scared shitless by that gaze. But Soo Hyun just swallowed hard and tried not to get too scared.
“Haven't seen him since this morning.” he said and bit his bottomlip.
“Where the hell is he? I've searched everywhere.”
“I think he's avoiding everyone right now...” Hankyung said as he showed up beside Sungmin. Sungmin just sighed.
“Aish... why is he like this? We should re-name him Emo-Eli.”
“Eli's not emo. He's just upset.”
“Emo.”
“Sungmin...”
“Fine. I'll be nice.” He sighed and turned to Soo Hyun again. “If you find him, call me!”
“But... hyung... I don't have your number...”
“Just ask Hyukkie... got to go!” Sungmin said and took off with Hankyung close behind.
But no one found Eli. It was like he just had disappeared into thin air. No one knew where he was. Kevin was worried sick and Kiseop tried to comfort him even though he looked really concerned as well. Key went out looking for him together with Jonghyun and some of his friends. The whole soccer team also went out ordered by Eunhyuk. Sungmin and Hankyung had been searching for him the whole afternoon at it was about to get really dark. Key, Jonghyun and the others came back with nothing. The soccer team also gave up. In the end it was only Eunhyuk, Kevin, Kiseop, Sungmin and Hankyung who was still looking. Eventually they had to give up. Kevin was almost crying when his hyung's told him that he and Kiseop should go home and get some rest. They'll find Eli tomorrow. He was strong, Sungmin told him, he'd be perfectly fine.
“What if we never find him?” Kevin whispered. Kiseop just hugged him.
“Don't worry. He'll be...” Kiseop's voice trailed off as he saw who was sitting outside of his apartment door.
“I've been waiting all night. Where have you guys been?”
“Looking for you.”
“I sent you a text Kevin...”
“You did?!”
“Yeah... but I guess you didn't check your phone...”
“No...”
“Both of you are stupid. Kiseop why didn't you just tell me?”
“You read the notes?” Kiseop asked, his cheeks got a light shade of pink.
“I did.”
Kiseop just smiled and unlocked the door to his apartment so the three of them could get inside.
“I'm confused~” Kevin whined.
“I know hunny. That's why we love you.” Kiseop said softly and Eli just kissed his forehead.
