yes. tara is a doctor. a pediatric surgeon, in fact & admittedly a damned good one. jax is a biker. some might say that he's pretty bad ass. i for one, would not disagree there. i mean, you really don't even have to watch a full episode to gather that jax is a biker and tara is a doctor.
so please, please, please, fic authors, stop referring to tara as "the doctor/the surgeon/the healer" and jax as "the badass biker." we get it, we really do. the first time, i ignore it & pray fervently that you won't do it again. the second time, i'm willing to let it go if your fic is overall less sucky than a lot of the soa fic i stumble across. but when you do it for the sixtieth time (& that's just in one page... i start to think that maybe i need to move on.
also, jax calls tara by her name. i will also accept babe or baby or darling or some gruff, sexy combination of those names. especially if you leave off the 'g'. especially! and tara calls jax by his name. the above mentioned pet names being the only possible exception. jax does not call tara "doc". not with any real frequency, iirc.
so, in conclusion. stop it. stop it! the only time you should be referring to someone solely as "the doctor" is if you're writing who!fic.
