Light of the Moon by Luanne Rice

Light of the Moon was an interesting love story that didn't end with just one couple, two couples, or even three couples in truth. The story itself is a beautiful story of a forbidden love gone bad, not just for the couple, but for their 8 year old daughter as well. And until the arrival of Susannah Connolly five years later, 13 year old Sari Dempsey was living a life in black & white, & emotional breakdowns that anything could trigger. Left by her exiled Gypsy mother to be raised by her branded American father in France, this story tells of the deeper meaning behind decisions, their not always cut & dry.
Not straight forward & far from being to complex, this is a story about love & healing. About what one moment, one meeting, one action can do to anyone & almost undo. It focuses on women & spirituality through the affects of women in faith, which is a nice change, but doesn't leave men out. While your brought into stories of the past, including one of a slave girl that through one action brings her to be honored & worshiped through from the Biblical times, shows shes had a hand in everything, leading you to believe that nothing is accidental.
Though I didn't like the writing exceptionally well, the story that Luanne Rice tells is a nice & endearing story to read & getting to see my home state in a book is pretty nice.
