It's frezzing cold in my room & right now I can't wait to go outside where its warmer. How does that make since really!!
Thanksgiving was pretty good. We decided to stay home; just Ron, my mum, R, & I. My grandmum came though to visit & have the turkey, mum did all the cooking though, except with the gravy, that was grandmums job...lol...apparently she makes the best. After the turkey though my mum & I went to the commuter parking lot to practice parkng backwards in spots till night fell. I finally really got it, when I worked out a system of parking in the right spot. I call the 3 system *grins*, I count 3 spots up from the spot I want to park in & when I'm half-way through the 3rd spot I make sure I turn somewhat into it's corresponding parking spot, so then I can park backwards in the 3rd spot down from that one. My mum was pretty impressed by what I came up with. Hey, whatever works, right!!
Yea, Balck Friday, I shall never do again. Really it was insane. My mum had us get up at 4am in the morning & out the door by 5am. It so made my lisence picture look like I was about to fall asleep...lol...it is better then most peoples pictures though....I think...thats what I've been told....but I think they lie. But yea we went Wal-Mart, got there at 5:30am, went in did shopping, R & I weren't allowed to look in the carriage. I just bought a $5 movie & the Twilight book (1st one). Then we got to the DMV at 7:30am after having breakfest & pracitice driving into the spots backwards. A younger kid came in after me & did it effortsly...I wanted to kill him...lol. But then we went in & I looked at my sheet realized I was scedualed for 8:30am instead of 8am...lol...mum wasn't really happy about that. I did my test early though, since only one other person was ahead of me & they have like 3 people for testing. I was really nervous though....it was really a do or die situation though, did great & didn't have the same guy though, which was great ( found out the first guy that tested me in Oct. was actually a guy from another DMV place filling in for the guy that was testing me this time. I was like 'thank god!') The guy that tested me was really nice & we drove onto the highway, got off, went back to the DMV, & did the backwards parking & even I'll admit I made it harder then it was, cause I after the first time with my mum before I was doing it like a pro, but with him I was so friggin' nervous...I think he knew this though. When I finally parked, he looked out & so did I....I was very slightly touching my line on my side. He knew this & gave me another chace to straighten up...he said I had one chance to pull up & pull back & then I'd be done. It was to big of a deal when I assest how much I had to move over & then I was good. He passed me, I finally realized I wasn't breathing, & walked into the DMV were he told me to walk into & my brother & mum were waiting standing up since they saw the guy come in first. Both asked if I passed & I showed them the paper, fall on my mum in a hug for extra leg support & promptly texted everyone I knew that could get texts.
I was all happy...hehe...then we went home changed to do yardwork & then went to Rons house & did some. I still can't believe I didn't get any Subway to celebrate...lol.
Saturday, that was full of smells. We went to Rons to do more cleaning. Did the basement & while I was helping mum with the back of the basement...with the guys taking a break cause they had been down there the first time. We found laundary had been left behind in a tot...my mum pulled the first layer of laundary to put in the garbage bag & we were both blown away by the smell, apparently the water & the clothes had been there for a decade rotting...completey forgotten about. We didn't even try to move anymore, but pulled the tot out of the basement & outside far away from us as possible. After that my mum & I were both, what smelled like it, in the smell of the rotting clothes. We took a breather & let the basement take one too. Then my mum braved the rotting clothes & we dumped the water with R helping. I had to put my nose into Rs chest (he for once smelled better then something else & I had decided it would better to smell him that it) to breath. And then mum & I went back to semi-finish the basement, but after finding more laundary in the washer (which we left there cause the washer going to the dump anyway) she & I were pretty much done. We covered all the dump stuff that Rons friend had decided to apparently not come to pick up. Went home & drove to Coldwater Creek where my mum likes to shop & we surprised my mum with (2) $200 gift certificates & cards from R & I for her very much belated birthday...while Ron was at Borders, so he wouldn't have to do the boyfriend thing & R stayed in the car with his laptop while my mum & I shopped. We picked up Ron & then went to Olive Garden to treat my mum to dinner for her birthday again & went home after that. The shopping, the meal, & the day were pretty good & fun. Best part was the cashier ladys reaction when I told her how much I wanted on the cards, she looked at R & I, like 'Wow thats new!' lol...she was shocked I guess...lol. And of course mums reactions to them as well.
Sunday I finally slept in all the way to 11 I think maybe noon. But then I got up, did some stuff, then R & I went to the 4:20 showing of Twilight & it was an ok movie could have been better. It kept feeling like someone was putting the breaks on & I hadn't even read the book to know. But the actors weren't to bad & I came home determind to finish the book cause Steph reads the books over & over again & had told me the book was better then movie. So I was up till 7am reading Twilight & was even yelled at by my little brother to go to sleep, when he woke up at 6am to get ready for school to go to bed cause I had work in 9 hours & I needed to get some sleep...lol. I didn't finish the book before I went to bed at 7am, but I only had 25% more left of it & I finished it when I came home from work. So now I've bought the last 3 from Amazon & since I can't wait Steph is going to let me borrow the 2nd book & when I get the 2nd book I'll give it back to her. Even though knowing me I'll finish the 2nd book before it or the other 2 arrive.
Sunday though R & I also walked to Dennys from the movies & had dinner....we did all this for his 16th birthday! Can you imagine he's 16 now...lol...when I got my lisence I looked at my mum & then R, back to my mum & said 'Next!' Its weird having him be 16 now though. We had fun at Dennys & the movies...didn't do shopping like we planned, but that was probably a good thing...money wise...lol.
But Lonnie, R, & I are planning a Sibling Day some time before Christmas/Yule, so I can go shopping then with them anyway. We'll go see Twilight again with Lonnie, cause she hasn't seen it, shop before, & then have dinner probably at Dennys since it is so close to everything. .
I may have my license, car insurence, & my car register, but I'm still not driving the sucker. My ex-stepfather still hasn't gotten a chance to work on it & do nothing towards it. Which sucks, but he says by the weekend or the end of the week...Goddess I hope so!!!!! Means another 3 days of asking for rides...this is really a step by step processes isn't it...lol. But at least now I can drive it.
Oh did I forget to mention, R accidently saved a new operating system to mums laptop & so we couldn't get Vista to work at all or the other one. So I had to bring it to work & have Brian fix it for us. He had to do a full system restore which such, so I lost everything & so did mum. But it was really only me who was hit badly, lost iTune stuff, pictures, & other things & so on...but some stuff I can get from my email & from a memory disk. So I guess I'm good a bit.
