So, life is going good. Today is Memorial Day and I took the kids to see the parade. We are going to the Cranbury parade in about half an hour. Petitioning again this year. My debt to my dad is nearly paid off and petitioning will help me reduce it further. I believe I can completely pay it off this summer and then I can focus on saving money.
I've been seeing Jesse (my old high school boyfriend) on and off. He's busy, I'm busy, but I'm hopeful we will see more of each other. The kids like him. I'm cautiously optimistic.
I'm going to Alaska in a week. That'll be fun. I can't wait to see glaciers! Maybe I'll post some pics in here. After that, we MIGHT go to St. Lucia for that scuba camp. Depending on whether Simon makes any money or not.
I've got my doctors for NJ mostly lined up, now that my insurance is going to be stable for the next 2 years. I started getting SSI, but most of that goes to rent. I pay my parents $535 a month and I only get $856. Plus I'm using that money to pay my own credit cards. The only thing Simon pays directly is the phone bill and the reason I'm still under his phone bill is because I can continue to be part of family sharing. Eventually I'll switch that over to under me also but I want to wait and see what the future holds. If I stay with my parents, I'd split the bill with Mom, who's finally gotten her own iPhone. But if I move out, on my own or move in with someone...well, until I know for sure where I'll be, it's better to leave things status quo.
I've reached the point where I actually don't daydream about getting back with Simon anymore. I remember all the bad stuff and the power games and so forth and I realize I'm way healthier without him. I'm ready to move on. It feels good.
I'll try and update this blog more frequently, but summer is going to be crazy, so we'll see.
