Wow so many book quotes! Well I think the lyrics suit the beginning events of the book perfectly, by reflecting Bella’s initial feelings towards Edward- curiosity at trying to figure out what he really is, the worry over his continued absence, the constant dreams about him, the fear of realizing her true feelings for him.

Bella finds out the truth about Edward- but she wants to be with him regardless, and wants him to realize that she’s not going to give up, despite his warnings. She wants to be a part of his life, to meet his family, to even become one of them.

Bella still can’t believe, even in New Moon, that someone as heavenly as Edward would want to be with her. We all know of her prominent phobia for dancing, and she does say that before she came to Forks, she was just a very ordinary girl, who never got a second glance. ‘Across the crowded room…’ reminded me of the very beginning chapters of Twilight, where they would just keep snatching glances at each other across the cafeteria. Cute.

Edward has to be physically gentle with Bella to avoid accidentally crushing her to death, or something similar, and likewise Bella has to be gentle with him in their physical relationship so she doesn’t tempt him to the point where it could get fatal.

Edward hesitated to test himself, to see if this was safe, to make sure he was still in control of his need.

Edward had drawn many careful lines for our physical relationship, with the intent being to keep me alive. Though I respected the need for maintaining a safe distance between my skin and his razor-sharp, venom coated teeth, I tended to forget about trivial things like that when he was kissing me.

What with Edward being a vampire and Bella always getting over excited, even a simple kiss could really end up being fatal. Not that Bella would mind, if it was with Edward =)

I thought of this song simply because of that haystack quote…but the rest of the lyrics fit too. Even after dedicating two songs to this matter, Bella still can’t believe the fact she ended up with the hottest vampire in existence D:.

This song was so perfect; firstly, because the topic of Bella’s immortality was brought up significantly in the prom scene, when obviously, they were all dancing. Bella is ‘hoping for the best but expecting the worst’ because she has told Edward her desire for him to change her, but he blatantly refuses to even comprehend the idea.
One of Bella’s greatest fears is getting old (further emphasized in New Moon) while Edward stays young and youthful-she feels there is no point in staying simply mortal, when she knows she is going to stay with Edward forever. And ‘youth’s like diamonds in the sun’ was just a TOO perfect line…remember her description of Edward in the sunlight? Just like diamonds. Perfect ending =)

Even though I’m not Japanese myself, I am a massive fan of J-pop, and listen to it regularly despite not being able to understand a single sentence. However, just because a song isn’t English and we can’t understand it, doesn’t mean it can’t be used in a fanmix. After all, there must be Twilight fans in Japan too, right? And the translated lyrics fitted so well with this fandom, so here is the Romanji (English phonetics for the Japanese) and English translations, if you do want to download it.
