It's always a happy evening when the last link I check before bed has a new entry.

I really liked seeing the momentarily(?) stable relationship of E², especially from Cordelia's jaded perspective. The idea they are each other's safe havens from the harsh realities they endure gives me warm fuzzies. And it's December so that's a good thing.
Cordelia was hilarious of course. Using her to show just how much Emma had changed I think had more impact than just more E² interaction. (not that anyone would mind that of course) And it also was funny enough to wake my neighbors when I was laughing probably. Seriously... "Collar tan"? How do you set that up so I'm laughing a day later?

Anyway, as you can probably tell this is a new LJ account. Created because I had to finally tell you what an incredibly talented writer you are. The way you give your characters such nuanced personalities is frankly amazing. It sort of reminds me what a reader commented about a "City on the river" chapter awhile ago. That you could write a fic about E² reading the phone book and they'd be happy to read it. That's because you manage to tell so much about their relationship from their interactions while they go about whatever simple task you choose for the backdrop. Even when we're hearing the character's thoughts it's a subtle montage that gives the reader the impression of whatever feelings you're trying to convey, rather than just saying it in her mind.

I'll finish by saying you are the writer who "taught" me the true meaning of fan fiction. Because I swear that every Emily scene you write I can picture and hear Paget Brewster giving lines in character in my head. And that's not because I hear voices.... much. :)

Sorry for lurking so long. Have a happy new year!
