This was definitely 'happy, fun time Sebastian,' he's not even like this in my other stories, but he *could have* been. I remember when i was rereading 500 miles the last time and at the very end, Christy asks Tessa what the Hellfire Club was like here, and she's rather shocked by the prospect of it being so bad (if Tessa can be shocked by anything). That was really the far end of the spectrum. Canon is somewhere in the middle: lots of violence but usually consensual sex. And then there's this. Of course, i was considering having Sebastian's excuse for being in the area was that he needed to pick up a shipment of girls, to whom he was offering *new life in america!* If anyone can make sex-slave trafficking fun and cheery, it would be this Sebastian. (And this is before he made the muttonchops decision.)
Sometimes it seems that their relationship is actually better when they have proper roles to play, because then neither of them feel embarrassed or ashamed of some supposed weakness of character when they show affection. Yeah, I don't write these stories. I just hit the keys when the characters start yelling in my ear.
And you! Warning me that I'm biting off more than I can chew, and then begging for a sequel? Tsk Tsk.
Well not now. I need to write my grad school applications. Maybe later. ;)
