My sister doronjosama posted this over on her blog and of course, being an aspiring foodie, I had to do it myself! XD
1) Copy this list into your blog or journal, including these instructions.
2) Bold all the items you’ve eaten.
3) Cross out any items that you would never consider eating.
The VGT Omnivore’s Hundred:
1. Venison
2. Nettle tea
3. Huevos rancheros
4. Steak tartare (haven't had it, but could try it- I like raw fish, after all...)
5. Crocodile
6. Black pudding (I've a recipe book that tells how it's made, and despite that knowledge I'm willing to try it)
7. Cheese fondue
8. Carp (pretty sure I've eaten this, anyway...)
9. Borscht (isn't it made of beets? I loathe beets...)
10. Baba ghanoush (love it!)
11. Calamari
12. Pho (Pho is the shiznit.)
13. PB&J sandwich (Tried it, was forced to eat it numerous times as a child if I didn't like dinner, and thus now DO NOT WANT. Unless it's PB& black currant jam. That I might be willing to stomach.)
14. Aloo gobi
15. Hot dog from a street cart
16. Epoisses
17. Black truffle
18. Fruit wine made from something other than grapes
19. Steamed pork buns
20. Pistachio ice cream (It RULES!)
21. Heirloom tomatoes
22. Fresh wild berries (Found some wild blueberry bushes on a camping trip once... god they were good!)
23. Foie gras
24. Rice and beans (not so much anymore, what with prepared mixes being loaded with MSG...)
25. Brawn, or head cheese (I've seen how much fat goes into one of these, and given my body's extremely negative reaction to large amounts of fat, I'll have to pass.)
26. Raw Scotch Bonnet pepper (Peppers give me heartburn. Deadly spicy peppers... well, they make me wish I was dead. So no.)
27. Dulce de leche
28. Oysters
29. Baklava
30. Bagna cauda
31. Wasabi peas
32. Clam chowder in a sourdough bowl (so gooooood....)
33. Salted lassi
34. Sauerkraut (There's a German restaurant in a hick town nearby which has the Best. Damn. Sauerkraut. EVAR.)
35. Root beer float
36. Cognac with a fat cigar (LOL, yeah right! Not with my allergies to smoke!)
37. Clotted cream tea
38. Vodka jelly/Jell-O
39. Gumbo
40. Oxtail
41. Curried goat (Curry tries to kill me.)
42. Whole insects (HELL NO. Unless shrimp count.)
43. Phaal
44. Goat’s milk (Very tasty, and apparently I'm the only one among my non-lactose-intolerant friends who can drink this with no ill effects.)
45. Malt whisky from a bottle worth £60/$120 or more (I'm cheap, what can I say? Also, hard liquor = DO NOT WANT.)
46. Fugu (I'm not willing to risk my life for a new food experience, sorry.)
47. Chicken tikka masala
48. Eel (Unagi zushi is probably one of the best things I've ever had. I blame my Pop for this addiction.)
49. Krispy Kreme original glazed doughnut
50. Sea urchin
51. Prickly pear
52. Umeboshi (I think I've had this. Given all the random containers of stinky Japanese pickles Mom would keep in the fridge, I'm sure I ate this at one point.)
53. Abalone (but I could be mistaken)
54. Paneer (Palak paneer is so good!)
55. McDonald’s Big Mac Meal (I'm very picky about my burgers, and as far as I'm concerned, McDonald's burgers are made of fail.)
56. Spaetzle (Spaetzle and green beans are yummy!)
57. Dirty gin martini
58. Beer above 8% ABV
59. Poutine (SO GOOD! And SO BAD FOR YOU! XD)
60. Carob chips
61. S’mores (I had the great joy of introducing one of my Canadian friends to s'mores last summer. It was a riot!)
62. Sweetbreads (I generally don't eat guts. Except liver.)
63. Kaolin
64. Currywurst
65. Durian (HELL NO. Not after watching Bizarre Eats!)
66. Frogs’ legs
67. Beignets, churros, elephant ears or funnel cake (Elephant ears are ridiculously tasty.)
68. Haggis (I don't eat anything that processes ingested toxins or poop. That means no intestines or kidneys, ever. Liver only gets by because chicken livers in bacon are so addictive it's not funny.)
69. Fried plantain
70. Chitterlings, or andouillette (See above re: Haggis)
71. Gazpacho (Tasted like I was eating salsa without tortilla chips, but it was good!)
72. Caviar and blini (With a little bit of sour cream, OM NOM NOM NOM!)
73. Louche absinthe
74. Gjetost, or brunost
75. Roadkill (Nope, can't do it, not a redneck.)
76. Baijiu
77. Hostess Fruit Pie (We call them Damn Pies around here. DAMN are they ever full of HFCS though!)
78. Snail (maybe once I'd try them.)
79. Lapsang souchong
80. Bellini
81. Tom yum
82. Eggs Benedict (Didn't feel too well after eating them, so I'm not sure I would eat them again. Course, it could just be I was coming down with stomach flu that night anyway...)
83. Pocky
84. Tasting menu at a three-Michelin-star restaurant.
85. Kobe beef
86. Hare (Mmm, hassenpfeffer...)
87. Goulash
88. Flowers
89. Horse
90. Criollo chocolate
91. Spam
92. Soft shell crab
93. Rose harissa
94. Catfish
95. Mole poblano (I've had mole, and while I thought it was tasty, DH wasn't thrilled. So, I guess no more in this household.)
96. Bagel and lox (OM NOM NOM NOM)
97. Lobster Thermidor
98. Polenta
99. Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee
100. Snake
