Happy frozen supermarket turkey and Lions football game day

Like most Americans, I will spend today watching the Lions lose to the Packers and eat Thanksgiving dinner with my family.

If I sound cynical, too bad, but there are things I'm thankful for on this holiday:

• I'm still alive.
• I am ridiculously over educated enough to work an on-call part time job.
• I'm so broke right now I can't shop on Black Friday, not that I ever did. I've always boycotted spending any money on this day if I can help it.
• Having all this extra time to write, which I really love.
• Occupy Wall Street, for changing the focus of debate over what is really wrong with this country.


• Anonymous, for being the good guys and fighting evil everywhere.
• Wikileaks
• The Republican Presidential Debates, for being so damn entertaining with the clown car of candidates they're offering to the American people. Thank Eris for four more years of Obama.

I will enjoy mine, you enjoy yours.
