Well I got bored at work and started sketching today. Ended up with a chobits-esk foxboy. It's a cute drawing and a hell of a lot better than my work over the last few months, but I'm still nowhere near happy with it. I guess after having done greyscale for so long it seems sub-par. What annoys me is the line work is fairly good, and if I knew how to work color people would probably actually like it...

Regardless, I'll need to scan it, clean it up a lot, and then probably throw it up on DA and maybe Y!hosting (as I don't think it's quite furry enough to fit on furaffinity).

Regardless though, I've realized part of my problem over the recent months. Lately I've been pushing to start with a wire frame model and move in layers from that. I'm realizing most of my drawings in the past were either freeze framing something and drawing it, or starting with a basic picture/idea and working from that. this one started with trying to recreate a chobits picture, and basically ending up with a whole new character (though I guess thee's some layback to inuyasha and some older animes). Regardless though, sans the eyes I'm really happy with the piece.
