Summary: Hazel is an A* star student who coul care less about herself, and would always think about about her grades. However one day everything changed when she met Ryouta a lovely 8 year old, who she found crying on the swing.

It's hard to be a high school student now a days. You have lots of exams, assignemts and all that, and less time for yourself. I can't remember when it was the last time I had a great time with my family without worrying about my grades. Some may call me a nerdy girl, but really the truth is, I just want to have a bright future. I have an average family, we are not that poor, because we can afford food and a house and clothes, but we can't afford to buy the most recent CD's or the most recent mobile phones. Thats why I work so hard. However sometimes, I really wish...I could just stop. I would really like someone to just tell me, that everything will be ok, I just need to think a bit about myself too, becuase I lost that capacity. I was going back home from work that night. Yes I also work. I have 1 part-time job. The people in there are really kind~ So I was walking home I found a lonely little boy on the swing. First I was debating if I should go and ask him why he's there on his own at night since he looked like he was around 8, but I ended up going~ just in case...
'Hello there' I said softly as I got closer to the little boy. He looked at me, and I could see that his eyes were really red and puffy, probably from crying. He was really cute. He has dark brown eyes and hair and beautiful chubby cheeks, that just looked sooo cute!!! However he didn't answer me, and just lowered his head back down.
'Hey, are you ok?' I asked him again, and lowered myself, so that my face was at the same height as his was.
'Whats your name?' I asked again
'Ya-Yamada Ryouta' he answered, and I could just berely hear it
'That's a really cute name!! My name's Hazell!! I won't do anything to you. I just want to help. Tell me Ryouta-chan, what are you doing outside at night time?' I asked him again
'Mum and dad had a fight...so Ryouta ran away....I was going to nii-chan's house, B-but I got l-lost' he said and started crying
'Ehhh~ You ran away from home?'
'Humm.....Mum and dad have been fighting a lot...and Ryouta can't take this anymore....Ryouta wants to go to nii-chans house....' he continued
'Do you know the address?' I asked him
'Hum...but I cant find the street...' he replied
'I would really like to help you Ryouta-chan, would you tell me the addres? I might know where it is...' and with that he told me the address of his older brother. What I wasnt expecting was that the address he gave me would be on the next street to my house.
So I took him to my house first. I left him in the living room watching TV downstairs while I went to get changed. Then I went with him to knock at his brother's house. While we were on our way....
'You know my nii-chan is only 18 years old' He suddenly told me as we walked hand in hand to his nii-chan's-
'Really??? that young???' I asked in disbelieve because I am 16.... and I would never be able to live on my own right now..
'Hmmm, he decided to live by himself because of out parents. They were constantly arguing...so he decided it would be better for him. He was going to take me...but dad found out about it....' he nearly started crying again
'You don't need to tell, if you don't want to' I told him
'No...I want to tell nee-chan, because you were really kind to me ne~' and he continued talking untill we got to his brothers house. Ryouta-chan knocked on the door, and rang the door bell twice. After around a good 5mins, the door opened revealing a handsome guy, who looked just like Ryouta. He was still wearing his school uniform, and looked stunning
'Nii-channnnnn' Ryouta ran to hug him, and the boy hugged him back. Then Ryouta-chan turned to me and introduced me to his nii-chan
'Nii-chan, I ran away from home, and got lost cause I didn't know where your address is. Ryouta knows you shouldnt trust starngers.....but nee-chan seemed really nice and helped Ryouta alot!!!' he said excited
'Really?' he said and looked at me smilling
'Ahh~ it's nothing ne~' I said and looked down blushing.
'Why don't you come in?' Ryouta-chan said
'I-''
'Neeeeee~ nii-chan can she have dinner with us...can she, can she???' Ryouta-chan started Jumping up and down
'Ah hai, please come in' His nii-chan said
'hmm arigato' I replied softly
'Ahh gomen for being so rude and not introducing myself, Yamada Ryosuke desu' He said and bowed
'Ahh Yamada-san, Hazell desu' I introduced myself too
'Ahhhh just call me Ryosuke ne~' he said and smiled again
'Ryosuke-kun' I said, and blushed once again
'hai' he replied.
The day went by really quick and for some reason, I really enjoyed it, also what I didn't expect was that....for the first time....I...I didn't think about school, or my grades. I was thinking about how great I felt, being with Ryouske-kun and Ryouta-chan. I learned alot about them. I learned about their family, Ryosuke-kun's hobbies, and Ryouta-chan.
It was such a worthy day.
------------Next day----------
I woke up the next day and felt great, but again the same though runned through my mind, my grades, will I be able to have a good life in the future, will I ever be able to find the one person for me.....Wait? I never though about Love......I don't even know what it means....
Suddenly I heard a knock on my door. 'Come in' I shouted and it was my mum
'Hazell, there's these 2 boys downstairs and they want to talk with you' she said
'ehhhh~ let them come here' I said
'Ok' she said and left. I quickly through a top over my head and brushed my hair just in time to hear another knock on the door
'NEE-CHAN its me RYOUTAAAAAAA!!!' he shouted
I went to open the door and there he was smilling with Ryouske-kun. Ryosuke-kun had a white box on his hand, but I didn't think much of it and just let them in.
We sat near my table ad turned my TV on. Ryosuke-kun opened the white box, and revealed a beautiful cake filled with strawberries at the top and middle. He turned to look at me and smiled 'To thank you for yesterday, I hope you like Strawberries, cause I love them' he smiled
'I love them too' I replied and we all started to eat. The cake was delicious the contrast of the sweetness of the whipping cream with the taste of strawberries was amazingly good. I found myself taking quick glances at Ryosuke-kun without realizing, and my heart starting to beat at a incredible speed. I felt like it could JUmp anytime soon, which really scared me.
'Nee-chan your really pretty ne~ don't you think nii-chan' Ryouta-chan asked Ryosuke-kun. He looked at me and a genuine smile formed on his lips.
'She is ne~' He said slowly and softly while staring at my eyes.
'Ahh hmm...ne~ hmm......Arigato' i bowed to them
'Tahahahahah nii-chan, nee-chan is blushing ne~' Ryouta-chan pointed out
'No i-it-its ju-just-'
'Ryouta, you shoudnt say that....' Ryosuke-kun curt me off
'Demo nii-chan, Ryouta would really like if nee-chan would go out with you ne~ it would be so much fun' Ryouta grinned
'Ryouta, you shouldnt say that nee-chan might get mad at you' Ryosuke-kun said and Ryouta put his small hand infront of his mouth with eyes widened
'Nee-chan are you mad at Ryouta?' he asked in the edge of tears
'Of course not, I could never get mad at you' I replied smilling
'Souka......' he replied
Days passed by, and I could definetelly feel myself getting closer to Ryosuke-kun and Ryouta everyday. I found out that Ryosuke-kun's school was right near mine, and we would sometimes walk home together. My grades however did start dropping a bit, and when I say dropping I'm talking from A* to A's or B's. However I didnt get mad, like I would in the past. Because now, I'm happy since I have friends like these 2 that care for me.
In my head I tell myself everyday that we are just friends, however my heart doesnt correspond. My heart wants more than just friendship from Ryosuke-kun. And I knew that.
One day me and Ryosuke-kun were walking back home. Ryouta went back to his parents even though he kept on running away. We past through a cake shop, and I couldnt help myself, so I took Ryosuke-kun's hand in mine and bought him to the shop. We ordered 4 pieces of Strawberry cake, and then went out to the park to eat it. We settled down under a sakura tree, that by now was in blossom.
'Wuahhhh, perfect day, perfect food, in the perfect place' I sighed
'With the perfect person' Ryosuke-kun suddenly said and I turned to him obviously shocked.
'Hazel-chan.....I...the truth is....I love you, I know this is too early, but since the first time I saw you, when you helped my little brother, I fell in love with you..' he explained
'Youu.....you...ehhhh~'
'I love you Hazel, would you.....please go out with me?' he asked
I stood up and looked at him the eyes. Then he stood up too and held my hand
'What do you think about me?' He asked, eyes full of Love.
'I...I think...I love you too Ryosuke-k-'
'Only Ryosuke' He interroped me 'I love you soo much'
'Me too' i replied while blushing and looking down at my feet, not that I found it interesting, I just really wanted to hide my blushing face from him.
'What would you say....if I.....kissed you?' he asked me and I was sooo shocked that i looked up just to feel his Lips against mine (NA\ nee-chan your dead for making me cry) it was a soft kissed, that made my heart beat even faster. We broke away for hair, and as we did he whispered in my ear '«I love you soo much, and I know that Ryouta will be happy' and kissed me again.
Now I know that having a person by your side, has much more meaning than having a A* in every subject. Because at the end of the day, I managed to get into the university of my dreams, while having the person of my dreams by my side.
