so I'm listening to the SaGa Frontier OST, and I decided to look up SaGa Frontier out of curiosity. I found a review of the game, and this is what the reviewer said about the music:

The music is probably the only really good thing to this game ( Read more... )

It doesn't have to have some deep significant meaning, but it does show a mentallity within the person, as well, it also shows a limiting factor.

Frankly, Square games are usually mediocre at best, especially in these past two console generations. Other companies have outshined the hell outta them. Usually, I would just past it off and give the person the benefit of the doubt, but reading her little mini-review is quite hillarious. A game, that has very little basis on story, has a very deep story? Oh please, mini side stories scattered all over the place does not make the game have a deep story. She played FF1-11 minus JP3? Okay... that is supposed to mean something? I played FF1-11... when they came out in Japan except for FF3jp, which I played after FFIV. I played DQ 1-8, and you know what? That doesn't mean shit either. Why? Because that's a whole 2 series, with very similar game basis. So that's what, 2 series... out of about 5000.

You act as if she is some amazing person that has a grand knowledge of RPG's and can make a great run down and comparison because she knows so much, when it looks like she's a typical square whore. So she plays a few games from a few other companies too... but her main focus is still Square, and she heads Square as king of the mountain. That means she's bias.

No, I'm acting like she's my friend. nikari wanted a review of SaGa Frontier, which I knew she was familiar with, so I asked her to come over and give her opinion. Because frankly, I could give less than a shit about video games, and in those absolutely rare moments that I have a question about them, I ask her. She's played more than anyone I know and has at least a passing familiarity with a lot of popular titles -- if she hasn't played them, she knows someone who has.

You know what? You're biased. You're going to develop a negative opinion of someone you don't even know because of their username. You have an opinion that Square sucks. She has an opinion, apparently, that they don't. Neither is incorrect because they are opinions.

This conversation is over. Come off your pedistal sometime and pull that bug out of your ass, and then maybe we'll talk.

Actually, it's based on what she said in addition to her user name. Doesn't that mean it's completely not biased?
