OK, this is really stupid. A new law called the Intellectual Property Privacy Act will make it illegal to possess copyrighted material or any means to duplicate it. So basically everybody with an Internet connection, a CD burner, an iPod, etc. is screwed. Essentially it completely nullifies the Fair Use clause. And that's not fair.
There's also another law out that will grant corporations more control over the Internet - so they can control what users will be able to access. So the Internet is no longer neutral. There's a petition and more information here: http://www.civic.moveon.org/save_the_internet/
