I was driving to work and we were all moving along all nice and smooth when all of the sudden everyone started slamming on their brakes, and then we were all at a dead stop. About five minutes later there were 2 motorcycle cops, one right after the other, weaving thru... finally I see that the freeway ahead is completely and utterly clear, this worker guy stops me so he can retrieve something from the freeway (looked like a big roll of black duct tape) and I look to the left, and I see that in the left/HOV lanes, someone flipped their vehicle on top of another one.
I always drive in the second-from-the-left lane, cuz it's one of the through-lanes on 635 so you don't get stuck in the people who are trying to decide to go onto 35.
If I had left my house just five minutes earlier and I hadn't decided to stay in the right lane (some ass kept driving right in my blind spot and wouldn't let me in, anyway).. I dont even want to think about it
Things like this always trigger memories of my father so needless to say I was an emotional wreck when I finally got to work.
Whew. :(
