cricket & clarification for Jane

Apr 28, 2003 23:58

I was doing wood work, and the drill slip and kissed my finger.
I just moved to my new place.
A cricket sneaked inside (cricket - is that english? those little insects that make cri-cri-cri-cket! at nigth by rubbing their wings.)

So I found the bugger last night: it had the nerve to jump on my head and my cheek in the middle of the night, suggesting me: "wake up wake up!" - actually it was good because he dream I was drawned to was not a good one: there were x guys to kill, they were actually shooting back at me and I couldn't figure out if that stupid x number was finite or not (neither why the hell was I caught in that situation for that matter) :(

I didn't find the courage to crunch the cricket though, so I found a little box and trapped it inside; made several holes so it can breath, and had plan to toss it outside in the morning.
But this morning it was gone! - don't ask me...
and two hours ago, it was jumping on my feet, but I couldn't catch it: it jumps faster than I can croll....

Now you might ask, why not toss it out right there in the middle of the night? well...... two hindrances: first I can't open the windows; I could but I would need to dismount those glass pieces and cut the screen out. By the door? yes, but no...
I have noticed that the entrance is infested by 2-3 747 roaches at night; the door is nicely sealed so they can't get in. However, I don't want to take the risk to open it up at night when they are all out, and have one get in...

But today I came back at night time, and observed where they would croll and hide at my approach: actually to a hole in the wall right next to my door (no wonder...). Tomorrow first thign in the morning, I'll pie around my door, and in their hole...
