Fight the draft!

I just saw this on one of my friends journals...don't let this happen! It will hold consequences for EVERYONE...

So, if there is a draft, are you under the impression it should not include women?

no, i believe it should include women. we fight for equal rights but we dont want to bear the same cost for the freedoms and rights we have as women? in my opinion, the only exceptions to drafts should be if you have a medical condition, if you are an only son,(which i believe is an exception to being drafted now) or if you are a single parent raising children.

ive known about both of those for a long, long time.

theres also legislation seeking to repeal the selective service act. (the would-be draft's governing body)

I for one would not object if the "enemy was at the gates" so to speak, but since this war has much to do (not all to do, however) with self serving corporate interests and avenging family issues.

If you are truly worried, I would do as much research as to how the draft works, so that you may be better prepared if it does occur. Knowledge is power.

I knew when I signed up for that damn thing 2 months ago that something like this would end up happening....*sighs*...

war is so not my favorite thing.

every guy that turns 18 has to sign up for selective service unless you are multinational (like my friend nick) then they wait until you are 25 to ask you which country you decide to enlist with. its cool. but no war suck yeah totally
