It's amazing how long it's been since I've sat round a proper log fire and got smoke in my eyes and done fun things like roasting stuff. Used to do it ALL the time as a kid in Russia - especially during the summer months - but realised today that I couldn't even remember a single 'to sing by the fire' song from those days...
Some of the American kids at DUWO had a little bonfire thing going tonight, as of one of them has her birthday tomorrow (well, today, technically), and they introduced me to the fun concept of marshmallow sandwiches - can't remember the actual name they give them though, something beginning with 's' [my short-term memory is SOOO bad!]; any idea,

Upon discovering how good this was, I swiftly proceeded to improve this by substituting Nutella for the random piece of chocolate. Which swiftly proceeded to be termed '[the s-word] deluxe' by the people who tried it.
Ah, joys of bonfires. Should now get out of the smokey clothes and go wash my face, perhaps, or nostalgia may well overwhelm me. And that, of course, won't be terribly helpful...
