the insanity of the Europa website...
Ok, this is getting ridiculous.
There I am, like a good student, interested in a particular subject of competition law, which I've been reading about just now [I'm on page 42 of 100... on my 2nd day of reading for tomorrow's class... :S]. The particular subject area, incidentally, is whether a parent company and its subsidiary can escape investigation of their agreements merely on the grounds that they form a single economic unit - I'm somewhat surprised that they are, according to the CFI [Court of First Instance] decision in Viho v Commission [T-102/92], as supported by the ECJ in the appeal [C-73/95].
So I wanted to read the AG's judgment for the appeal case, which the reading refers us to; having no idea where the EC journals [or, for that matter, pretty much anything else] are in the Leiden law library - where I've been making an appearance for the last 3 days in a row (!) - I'm confined to finding this online. Which I can do through the usually-fairly-useful Europa website (www.europa.eu.int, etc). Unfortunately, the said opinion is only available in Greek and Swedish. (see for yourself here)
Which is quite ridiculous, given the original language of the opinion is German. Not that I could read that, but it's a matter of principle, by that point...
